Ice Hockey 3x3 - Small Teams, Big Energy

Fast decisions. Open ice. Teamwork at every turn.

Picture an ice hockey game where every player is close to the action. The puck moves quickly, space opens and closes in an instant, and a clever pass can create a scoring chance before the defenders have time to react. Welcome to ice hockey 3x3.

This compact form of ice hockey puts three skaters from each side on the ice at a time, alongside the goaltenders. With fewer skaters, players have more room to move and must constantly switch between attacking and defending. Skating, puck control, awareness and communication all come into play.

The pace rewards creativity and cooperation. One moment you are racing towards goal; the next, you are helping your teammates protect your own. Everyone stays involved.

Three Skaters. One Shared Goal.

Six teams compete in the 3x3 tournament. With three skaters per side on the ice, each player takes an active role in creating chances and stopping attacks. Teams need to keep moving, communicate clearly and react together as the game changes.

What to watch for: Fast transitions between attack and defence, players finding open space, quick combinations and the energy of every shift.
